Do you suspect that your symptoms or health issues are diet-related? Are you looking for nutrition advice and are not ready to commit to a long-term package or prefer to schedule individual appointments as needed? Do you have questions on diet and/or supplements for specific medical conditions?
Individual nutrition appointments with nutritionist Susan Carroll are designed to meet your needs.
Who are individual appointments for?
- Those who are looking to address their health concerns through diet and nutrition. A list of conditions that I can help with can be found HERE
- Those who are working with an integrative physician or other provider who has recommended a program such as detoxification or therapeutic diet (e.g. elimination diet, diet based on food sensitivity testing, FODMAP diet, low disaccharide or Specific Carbohydrate diet, IBS diet, SIBO diet, low glycemic load diet, diet for weight loss, diabetes, pre-diabetes, cholesterol-lowering, etc.) as part of their integrative health plan.
- Those who are looking for help identifying foods that are triggering unwanted symptoms and determining their best diet.
- Those who are seeking diet guidance and general supplement recommendations.
Susan Carroll does not have expertise in the areas of eating disorders or sports nutrition and does not work with individuals who need help working in these areas.
What to expect? We will review:
- Your nutrition goals and symptoms
- Your diet history and pattern of eating, adverse food reactions.
- A brief review of your recent test results and supplements
You will receive:
- Personalized advice about diet and nutrition
- Nutrition education, including what to avoid-include and ideas for meals, recipes as needed.
- Recommendations for food sensitivity or other lab tests might be given, although if you are looking for comprehensive functional lab testing, working together through a long-term package might be a better fit for you.
- Personalized advice about supplements might be given. For those looking for a comprehensive review of supplements and a more in-depth customized plan, working together through a long-term package might be more suitable.
Follow-up Appointments:
Follow-up appointments are recommended to determine your response to the plan and to adjust the protocol as needed based on your response and any new information (such as test results). Follow-up appointments are scheduled on an as-needed basis, generally every 2-6 weeks.
